The Artist
Over the years, Karen has created an extensive body of work, specialising in photorealistic work in a range of subjects and mediums, but particularly using Coloured pencils and mixed media. Much of her work has also included creating comprehensive art tutorials to assist other artists.
Apart from creating a large portfolio of art, she has also:
- achieved CPX status with the Colored Pencil Society of America
- published a book with Walter Foster entitled Realistic Portraits in Colored Pencil;
- Her work can be found in both public and private collections around the world;
- illustrated two children's books for Hachette Australia and
- artwork featured on several coins commissioned for Coin Club of Australia
- Created the original Coloured Pencil Conversion and Comparison Charts
