#050 - Imaginative Realism in Coloured Pencil

This 40 page comprehensive tutorial takes you through step by step with full colour diagrams to show you how you can recreate this charming image . This artwork has been completed on Xerox Nevertear paper but can also be completed on drafting film or your smooth surface of choice. A base layer of colour is added using Museum Aquarelle watercolour pencils but you can use any watercolour pencils or even skip the steps that include watercolour pencils and jump straight to using wax or oil based pencils.

This tutorial was created using Polychromos, Pablos, Luminance and a couple of Derwent Lightfast and Verithin pencils however you don't need these particular brands of pencils to complete this tutorial and you may find the Coloured Pencil Conversion charts and Watercolour Pencil Charts assist you in working out which pencils to substitute from your own range.
